On June 11, the Bulgarian Council for Refugees and Migrants, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Plovdiv Municipality organized a national seminar on “Funding opportunities for integration and possibilities for urban development”
on the occasion of World Refugee Day.
The event provided a forum for dialogue between the various stakeholders at national and local level, directly or indirectly involved in the process of integration of refugees in Bulgaria.
During the seminar, the legal framework and the role of the main actors were reviewed, with a focus to the existing forms of funding for refugee integration measures.
The seminar presented good practices for partnership between municipalities, non-governmental organizations and the private sector in the context related to the process of integration of refugees in Bulgaria.
