On September 17, the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Council on Refugee and Migrants held a meeting with Ivan Neyкov, Chairman of the Balkan Institute for Labor and Social Policy, Dimitar Matev, Vice-President and Rosen Matev. The meeting discussed future co-operation and partnership between the two organizations in the framework of a project of cities and islands located on the borders of the European Union “Instant Border Photos”. Consideration was given to joining the initiative to proclaim October 3 as the European Day of Remembrance and Hospitality. The initiative is an expression of empathy for the fate of people seeking a safer life, fleeing wars and the effects of climate change.
