On July 17, 2019, Kina Sabeva, the –°hairperson of the Bulgarian Council on Refugees and Migrants, held a meeting with Mark South, a delegate from the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, on the topic related to the community engagement in the context of integration.

The strategic advocacy and capacity building interventions for local Integration of refugees was discussed at the meeting, as well as the actions of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent for the integration of resettled refugees.

Kina Sabeva shared the approach adopted by BCRM to focus on the advocacy for refugee integration on positive results and opportunities for sustainable development through integration.

Mark South considered as a good practice the change in the focus of advocacy from tackling the challenges to positive results of mutual interest.
